Motorcyclist in hospital with serious injuries after road traffic collision on Southern Way

Statement by Essex Police:

WE are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Harlow this afternoon (28 September). 

Officers were called to Southern Way, near the junction with Paringdon Road, at around 2pm, following reports of a collision involving a motorbike and a car.

The rider of the motorbike has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

Parts of Southern Way and surrounding roads are closed  while emergency services are on the scene. We expect the roads affected to remain closed for a number of hours.

We ask motorists to be patient and avoid the area if possible.

Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have any information, including dashcam footage to contact us and assist.

Hope this post is allowed, My friend and I was a key witness to this accident and still in shock over it, would be so grateful to hear how the patient is or talk to any friends or family who may want to reach out to us
