Beautiful blue skies at the Harlow parkrun

Athletics / Sun 9th Oct 2022 at 08:13am

OVER 160 runners, joggers and walkers took part in the Harlow parkrun on Saturday morning.

The parkrun is a 5k (3.1 mile) event through beautiful environs of the town park.

This was the 347th running of the event that first began in November 2014.

First home was Kent AC’s Fergus Johnson. This was his 260th parkrun and his 170th different location.

There is also now a designated parkwalker, as it is important to stress that you take part on your own terms.

The parkrun also depends on its volunteers.

Our editor, took the opportunity to marshall as well as film runners near the old pitch and putt course and just before Brooks Bridge.

Brooks Bridge is named after Harlow Running Club’s Spencer Brook, who passed away two years ago.

Saturday would have been Spencer’s 50th birthday.
