HARLOW AC is delighted to announce three selections to national and international pathways:
Bebe Jackson had already retained a place on the GB Paralympic pathway for the coming year and has now also been selected for the Youth Talent Pathway.
The Youth Talent Pathway provides a doorway into professional athletics for 16 – 18 year-old able-bodied and disabled athletes alike. It is a two-year programme that provides access to sports psychologists, nutritionists, strength and conditioning expertise and media training.
Bebe began the programme with a physical preparation day last weekend.

Marley Sarling completed his two-years on the programme that Jackson embarks upon and has been retained on the Junior Talent Pathway, the next step toward international honours. The JTP is the 18 – 23 year-old programme that Shemar Boldiszar followed as he went on to become a British Champion and to represent Great Britain at U23 level. This pathway provided him with the profile to take up a scholarship in the USA. Sarling, who is a 200m specialist, begins his time on this programme with a training day in November focusing upon specific strength, maintaining sprint technique in the winter months and goal planning.
Rosa Huntington has earned the right to defend the world Long Jump and Javelin titles that she won at the Special Olympics in Dohar in 2019.
Team selections were announced last week and she has been chosen once again to compete in both events as reigning champion. This time around, she will be competing in Berlin in August 2023.

These selections are not only a reward for the individuals concerned, but also a huge boost to the club as a whole.
The club continues to work through a rebuilding process and having three active members achieving such recognition will inspire talented U13 and U15 athletes to emulate them in the future. They also provide a fillip to hard-working volunteers who give up an inordinate amount of time helping Harlow’s talented youngsters to achieve these levels. Their dedication is hugely appreciated.
Congratulations everyone.
Well done Bebe, what a 🌟
