ON Sunday 20th November, Mind in West Essex will be hosting their first festive 5km fun run in Harlow Town Park. This event is open to all abilities so you can choose to walk, jog or run along the Mental Elf route. 

Mind in West Essex is working hard behind the scenes to make their first Mental Elf run a fantastic event for the local community and look to include a festive marketplace for everyone to enjoy. In addition, Mind in West Essex will also be running several competitions during the day including best dressed pet and best dressed elf. They look forward to seeing everyones costumes and are expecting it to be a tricky decision. 

As their major fundraising event this festive season, they are hoping that many of you will join in helping to raise much needed funds for your local independent Mind. You might want to put a team together with colleagues or friends, attend as a family or an individual. There’s a range of ticket options available to ensure you can enjoy the event as a group or solo. 

Mind in West Essex are appealing to local businesses to support this event through sponsorship or providing much needed items to help make this event a success. Tickets are selling fast with high numbers anticipated at the event. “After everyone’s recent struggles with the Covid 19 lockdown we are just starting to see the effect this has had on people’s mental health. Hosting fundraising events like this helps us to raise funds, so we can continue to support our local communities’ mental health and provide vital services for them.”
