A MAN has been found guilty of a number of sex attacks on children in Harlow from over thirty years ago.

Gary Staines, aged 65, of Marks Hall, Mark Hall Lane, Essex was tried by a jury over several days at Chelmsford Crown Court.

He was found guilty of the following.

Indecent Assault – between the 10^th day of June 1991 and the 3^rd day of August 1992 indecently assaulted a female child under 13.

Indecent Assault – between the 3^rd  day of August 1992 & 9^th  day of  June 1996  indecently assaulted a female child under 13.

Indecent Assault – between the 10^th day of June 1996 & 9^th  day of June 1999  indecently assaulted a female child under 16.

Indecent Assault – between the 10^th day of June 1996 & 9^th day of June 1999  indecently assaulted a female child under 16.

The jury returned not guilty on another seven charges.

Sentencing has been adjourned until Thursday December 1st at Chelmsford Crown Court.
