Tawneys Road: Man arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction is released

A MAN who was arrested in connection with an incident in Harlow has been told he will face no further action.
Police responded to a report of a man approaching a young girl in Tawney’s Road, Harlow, shortly before 5.30pm on, Monday 7 November.
An investigation was launched and a 30-year old man was arrested and questioned.
Detectives have now eliminated the man from their enquiries.
Officers are reviewing the investigation and at present are not seeking anyone else.
Detective Inspector Tony Atkin said: “This has been a complex investigation which required many hours of work by officers, including viewing CCTV footage and phone analysis in order to ascertain the circumstances around this report.
“Having reviewed all accounts obtained, a man who had been arrested has now been eliminated from our enquiries”
“We have remained in consistent dialogue with the young girl and her family and they are aware of this decision and they continue to be supported by our officers.”
