ACL Essex-turning passion into careers

ACL Essex / Mon 12th Dec 2022 at 11:20am

ADULT learning provider, ACL Essex, is launching new creative qualification courses in 2023, from Art & Design and Photography to Woodworking and Silversmithing.

With a variety of courses from Entry Level to Level 2, the adult education provider is encouraging crafty residents to start the new year by getting their life goals and career on track and take-up a creative qualification to turn their passion into a career.

For those who would love to learn the basics of floristry, the ‘Creative Craft Floristry Entry Award’ begins on 20th January 2023, while those with a bit of background in woodwork can take up ‘Creative Craft Using Woodworking Level 2’, which starts on 7th March 2023.

Fashion-lovers can start up on either of the ‘Creative Craft Using Fashion/Textiles Level 1’ courses, starting 26th January and 3rd March 2023, and photography enthusiasts can brush up on their skills with a ‘Creative Craft Award Using Photography’ course, or a Photography Level 1 or 2 qualification.

Courses can be taken in one of the many ACL Essex centres across the county, or online, making them flexible to fit into a learner’s busy schedule. Some courses could be fully funded*, and throughout the course, learners will receive full support from highly experienced tutors.

Once learners have completed the course of their choice, they will receive a qualification, as well as the opportunity to keep their finished craft project and showcase it on the ACL Essex website or in their magazine.

Lisa Jarentowski, ACL Essex Principal, said: “I’m delighted that we are offering residents the chance to turn their passion into a career. Here at ACL Essex, we love that we can offer residents the chance to excel on their career paths with essential skills like English Maths and Digital, but also that we celebrate arts and crafts, like photography and floristry. Many of our previous learners have gone on to launch their own florists, photographic services as well as stepping into new jobs in the creative sector.”

New creative qualification courses will launch on various dates in 2023 and will be offered across the county at a number of ACL Essex centres and online. To discover more, visit www.aclessex.com/creative-qualifications.
