THE LEADER of Harlow Labour welcomed the leader of the Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer and the deputy leader, Angela Rayner to Harlow.
Councillor Chris Vince said: “It was great to welcome the leader of the Labour Party Sir Keir Stamer and deputy leader Angela Rayner to Harlow, visiting hard working NHS staff at Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Ambulance station. In stark contrast to our current Prime Minister, they truly listened to staff to properly understand the challenges they face in their work as well as the additional pressures of the Conservative created cost-of-living crisis.
What came across loud and clear was their desire to mend our ailing health service, broken by 13 years of Conservative uncaring incompetence and mishandling of our NHS. Mishandling which has led to 13 hour waits in A&E, queues of ambulances waiting to get patients into the hospital and nurses struggling to keep up with an ever-increasing work load. After 13 years of Conservative government waiting times are far higher than they have ever been, contrast this with 13 years of the last Labour government when 95% of patients were seen within 4 hours.
However, I would like to personally pay tribute to the hard-working NHS workers, our paramedics, our nurses and doctors and all staff at both the hospital and ambulance station, who work so hard for the safety of residents in our town. You are truly our heroes and deserve far more than a round of applause.
“Over the coming weekend, Harlow Labour will be out campaigning across our town as part of our national campaign weekend talking about Labour’s alternative approach to the NHS, an NHS where staff feel valued, where patients feel safe and secure, where waiting times are dramatically reduced and where ambulances are available to respond when needed.
“I look forward to speaking to many of you on the doorstep”.
Cllr Chris Vince
People go to hospital for a reason, to be treated so they can get better and feel well again, not to see these two standing there, which is enough to make anyone feel sick.
If you listen to the interviews, just hot air and bluster. Don’t even know why they bothered to come here. Surely they should more environmentally conscious and avoid unnecessary journeys.
If you don't lick his backside your comment will be deleted....
