Hockey: It is bully-off time for Harlow primary schools

Athletics / Sun 29th Jan 2023 at 09:20am

IT was all jolly hockey sticks at Church Langley Primary School as 27 teams descended throughout the day to attempt to make it through to the Hockey Finals. Both qualifying events, a morning and an afternoon session, were full-on with an astounding 48 matches played.

The standard of play was excellent and the athletes made huge progress with what can be a tricky game – reversing the stick and trying hard not to let the ball hit your feet, always causing problems.

Thanks were given to the school staff who managed a tricky timetable, ensuring that teams were ready to play, with the correct equipment and in the right place.
