Celebrate Harlow is back for 2023
Entertainment / Sat 11th Feb 2023 at 07:00am
ON Thursday 27 April 2023 once again the Harlow Playhouse is being taken over to showcase the very best talent that our town has to offer.
So, if you can sing, dance, play or act, Harlow Council wants you to be part of the show.
For a chance to take part, complete the online form at https://rb.gy/ktlrzn as soon as possible and the council will be in contact with details on how to audition.
Deadline for audition submissions is 27 March, so be sure not to miss out!
A portion of the proceeds from the evening will go towards the the Chair of the Council’s chosen charities Streets2Homes and Harlow Rock School.
If Harlow Council really wants to get the best out of this town then they should sort out the antisocial behaviour and get the basic services ordinary people use right. Not run some talent show.
Well done Harlow Council and The Playhouse for launching this project. Getting people together for Arts productions (and involved in sports) are excellent ways of tackling antisocial behaviour, the town needs to do far more and more: Cllrs need to give far more support and resources to Council officers and the government to schools to launch a whole programme of activities to achieve this. The results elsewhere show that taking such measures reduces crime, antisocial behaviours, the cost of policing and improves health. In the long run saves the public purse. Shame that Harlow Arts projects still get turned down by the Essex Arts & Cultural fund.
Theme. The Best of Harlow. Good luck with that eh? One Punch Killer Boxing? Knife Throwing? Fire Jugglers? Comedy Healthcare? Risible residents riding roughshod?
