A dispersal order has been put in place in Harlow following concerns relating to a large car meet.

We have received a number of calls from concerned members of the public this evening, following a large car meet, consisting of about 100 vehicles.

The reports have included incidents of anti-social behaviour and excessive noise levels around Howard Way, Edinburgh Way and Burnt Mill areas in Harlow.

To reduce the disruption to the residents of Harlow, a dispersal order has been put in place, covering areas including River Way, Old Harlow, Church Langley and Harlow town centre from 9.30pm tonight, Saturday 25 February.

This will remain in place until 6am tomorrow, Sunday 26 February.

The order gives officers the power to direct people suspected of acting anti-socially to leave the area.
