MP for Hertford and Stortford, Julie Marson, held a roundtable for local businesses in her constituency last month.
Mrs Marson invited local businesses from across Herford and Stortford to join her for the event. Attendees included SEB Enterprises, Home Instead, MCP Group and the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
The discussion was a chance for them to raise any problems they were facing with Mrs Marson, and for her to look at how she could help. It took place at Paradise Wildlife Park in the constituency.
Commenting on the event, Mrs Marson said:
“We had an excellent discussion. Lots of important issues were raised, from independent shops to moving animal exports across Europe.
“It was really important for me to listen to attendees’ concerns and pass them on to my colleagues in government.
“Supporting local businesses has always been a priority of mine, and it continues to be going forwards.”
Rebecca Davies, Zoo Engagement Leader at Paradise Wildlife Park also commented:
“It was great to welcome Julie Marson MP and the local community to Paradise Wildlife Park for the roundtable meeting.
“As a family attraction, we continue to work with our local community, and we appreciate members attending to share their views about the county.
“Julie shines a positive light on matters of concern and provides reassurance where needed. We look forward to working with the local community and the local government further.”
