Senior police officers visit The Stow to reassure public over crime

SENIOR police officers in Harlow visited The Stow area last week to speak to shop owners and residents regarding concerns over anti-social behaviour.
Chief Inspector Paul Austin and Inspector Natalie Rooney walked the beat along with community officers in the shopping area and surrounding streets.
Much of the concerns centres in knife-wielding gangs fighting in the precinct and surrounding streets.
YH met with the chief inspector to discuss their plans to combat crime and reassure the public.
Unless the police are going to be permanently based at The Stow, I fail to see how this one-off PR visit by the good Chief Inspector instills any level of confidence for the public.
