RESIDENTS are keen to celebrate the Kings Coronation in style and many have applied to Harlow Council’s Civic Pride Community Fund to help out with the cost of street and garden parties. Due to extremely high demand, the amount of funding for Coronation events has been limited to £200 per application so that we can fund as many activities as possible.
The deadline to apply for the Civic Pride Funding is Monday 17 April. Apply at: www.harlow.gov.uk/community/funds-and-grants/civic-pride-community-fund
Applications that have already been submitted are currently with the funding panel for a decision. We advise that applicants do not start to incur any costs until you have received confirmation that your application has been approved.
If you have applied for more than £200 your application will automatically be adjusted – there is no need to re-apply.
Applications received after 17 April will not be considered for the King’s Coronation party funding. However, the fund will remain open for the rest of the year for applications that support residents who are being impacted by the current cost of living crisis, as well as projects that bring people together to support mental and physical wellbeing.
If you are applying for funding to support a street party. Applications for Coronation street parties must be made online by 12 April 2023 and held over the Coronation Weekend. Apply for a street party: www.harlow.gov.uk/street-parties
