General / Fri 19th May 2023 at 04:25pm

HARLOW Council has issued a statement after residents reported that the water in a local pond had turned white.

Oakwood Pond is off Fourth Avenue and was the scene of a murder investigation earlier in the year.

A Harlow Council spokesperson said:  “We are aware that the balancing pond at Oakwood Pond is contaminated and has turned white.

“We have reported this to the Environment Agency and they are investigating.”

Harlow council need to keep regular checks on companies that do this. They should know the damage this does to the environment. And not just to environment but to dogs and all animals that like to go in water. People are getting frightened to put a toe in any of our waters. Theses big companies have been pouring sewage into our rivers and seas, and this has been allowed to go on. What does that tell you about this government. Then have the blimming cheak to charge us for the damage. Its all wrong .
