A MAN is currently in custody after being arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences, following a proactive stop from our officers this morning.  

Officers were on patrol close to the M11 at around 4:30am on Thursday morning when they were alerted to a suspicious vehicle. 

After the vehicle was stopped, it was searched by the Dog Unit. A large amount of suspected class A drugs was found alongside a small amout of suspected cannabis. Officers also located a knife hidden within the car. 

The 36-year-old man from Greater London was arrested on suspicion with intent to supply class A drugs, Possession of class B drugs and possession of a bladed article.

He remains in custody and enquiries continue.
