THE HARLOW Mill River Volunteers have been awarded a prestigious Green Flag.

It has been another busy year for the volunteers who cover a considerable stretch of our beloved river.

Spokesperson Joanne Mills said: “We have done a lot of work over the year and continue to do it with litter picking, cutting back, planting, painting, providing planters, book library and a bench.

“We are very proud of the work that we do, in keeping this lovely piece of Harlow, neat and tidy.”
