========================
LAST but not least, Anna Robyn (above) completed her fourth Ironman at the weekend.
Here is an extract from Anna’a blog. Please click below for the full report.
“This was my fourth iron distance event (2020 – DIY, 2021 – Outlaw Nottingham, 2022 – IM Copenhagen) and I had trained hard and consistently and was hoping to crack the 13 hour mark.
We stayed in the official Ironman hotel which was adjacent to the finish line (literally staggering distance) and equidistant from the transition area and the swim start. This was a huge advantage and made for easy logistics and a great all-round experience.
Everything had gone smoothly with registering and checking in my bike, and I had just settled down for an early night before race day when I received a text message advising me that I forgotten to collect my race chip and would need to pick one up in the morning in transition. Oops! I added it to my list of morning ‘To Dos’ and went off to sleep.
