HARLOW Running and Tri Club triathlete Gail Nicholls competed in two events at the European Triathlon Multisport Championships at Menen in Belgium over the weekend.

On Friday Gail competed in the Female Vet 55 category of the Aquathon Championships (1k Swim, 5k run) finishing in 11th place out of 16 finishers in a superb 46min 39sec.

Then on Sunday Gail competed in the same age category at the Middle Distance Aquabike Championships (1.9k swim, 88.6k Bike) finishing in 13th place out of 19 finishers in an excellent 3hrs 49min 56sec. 

Meanwhile, the Zig Zag Running Run for Ice Cream event at Haughley Park, Stowmarket, involves running around a 5.3k trail loop for different total distances.
Laura Prime completed the Marathon distance in 7th place out of 16 finishers and 1st Female in 4.48.19. This was Laura’s fifth Marathon, or greater distance race, in as many weeks! 
Sean Flynn completed the Half Marathon distance in 7th place out of 27 finishers in 2.06.41.  

At Harlow parkrun there were 5k PBs from Benison George, finishing in 7th place out of 228 finishers in 22.06, John Taylor 95th in 29.05 and Stacey Miziolek 114th in 31.07. 

At the Gunpowder parkrun at Waltham Abbey Rhys Shimmen finished in 48th place out of 162 finishers in a PB time of 25.36.
