Athletics: Impressive parkrun personal bests from Harlow athletes

AT Harlow parkrun there were 5k PBs from Donna Milton finishing in 37th place out of 253 finishers in 23.34 and Linda Helm-Manley 41st in 23.58.

HARLOW Running and Tri Club had 15 runners complete The Big Half, a half marathon which winds its way from Tower Bridge to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. Jack Shury led the way in 413th place out of 15,557 finishers in an excellent 1hr 21min 22sec. He was followed by Martin Westley in 725th place in 1.25.28, Neil Goodgame 1865th in 1.35.09 in his debut at the distance, Chris Mella 4028th in 1.46.52, Ella Wager 4090th in 1.47.10(Debut), James Catton 4239th in 1.47.49(Debut), Paul Dixon 6320th in a PB time of 1.56.12, Bradley Holmes 6696th in 1.57.37(PB), Dominic Emery 7350th in 1.59.55, Natalie Thornton 7481st in 2.00.29, Holly Nairn 10,019th in 2.12.07, Liz Roberts 12,528th in 2.28.09, Millie McGovern 13,988th in 2.43.59, Steve Wright 13,989th in 2.43.59 and Peter Berry 15,269th in 3.19.00(Debut).    

Meanwhile, at the Man Vs Mountain, a 23 mile race from Caenarfon to Llanberis via the submit of Snowdon, which includes over 5,000 feet of relentless climbing, Colin Baker finished in 55th place out of 898 finishers in a magnificent 5.29.50.

At the Big East & Maldon Standard Triathlon (1500m tidal river swim, 40km bike, 10km run) Julia Gardiner finished in 45th place out of 73 finishers in 3.10.39 and Emma Luck was 61st in 3.29.12 in her debut at the distance.

At the same event in the Sprint Triathlon (750m tidal river swim, 25km bike, 5km run) Gail Nicholls finished in 21st place out of 62 finishers and 3rd Female in 1.37.50 and Michelle Sheridan was 41st in 1.53.46.

In the Big East & Maldon Aquabike Brady Ramsay finished in 3.02.01 

At the Letchworth Duck’n’Dash Aquathlon (400m outdoor pool swim, 5k run) Paige Bircham finished in 36th place out of 124 finishers in 33.29 and Gail Nicholls was 61st and 3rd Female Vet 55 in 36.33, this coming a day after her triathlon finish.
