Athletics: Innovation Multisport are in the swim

INNOVATION Multisport have been busy with multiple disciplines over Saturday and Sunday!

Saturday saw members take part in Swim Serpentine, one of the big events to gain the Classics Medal!

The other ones are Ride London amd The London Marathon which have already been held this year.
Simon Couper, Leanne Stepney and Andy Smith have all managed to complete all 3 in just this year alone!


Simon managed a fantastic time of 1:05:56 (589th of a field of 3053 swimmers)
Elizabeth Roberts was not far behind, 1:09:06 (823rd) swiftly followed by Richard Marlow 1:09:12 (831st), next was Leanne Stepney 1:17:01 (1444th) and Andy Smith 1:23:11 (1822nd) And Louise Peacock 1:57:27 (2865th).
They jad all worked so hard in training, Louise had never done any open water swimming until earlier this year!

Graftham Standard Triathlon saw Jon Waight take part in a 1500m swim, 38k bike ride and 10k run in a time of 2:42:20 finishing in 38th/102 and first in his age cat.

Sunday (17th Sept) wS Stevenahe 20k, a local well organised race that members attend most years!

Ghazi Tanna came in for the club in 45:52 (41st/273 runners) 4th female overall amd also gained a shiney new trophy for being 1st in age catagory.
Not far behind was Chris Grey 46:39 (45th) then 52:08 for Bobby Drsper and was 94th overall, and 2nd in age cat!


Alan Shead followed in next 54:51, 112th and got a 4min pb, and his 2nd fastest 10k time!
Kelly Burgess managed 56:35, 131st overall and 19th female, after a 12 week injury.
Ron Peacock ran a respectable 1:10:16 after also running Takeley 10k last weekend.

Some fantastic results there, very well done everyone!!
