HARLOW Running and Tri Club’s Ultra runners Fieke Blackwell and Kerry Mavris completed the Orion 50 Mile Ultra Trail Race at the weekend. This consists of 10 x 5 mile laps around Epping Forest at Chingford. Fieke finished in 6th place out of 36 finishers and 2nd Female in an excellent 8hrs 38min 19sec and Kerry was 12th and 3rd Female in 9.56.43. 

Meanwhile, at the multi-terrain Lucky Horseshoe Marathon Laura Prime finished in 13th place out of 30 and 2nd Female finishers in 4.57.02.

At the RAF Spitfire 10k, around the edge of the historic London Aerodrome that once existed in Colindale, Vincent Martin finished in 117th place out of 215 finishers in 1.02.14, Sue Reilly was 121st in 1.02.55 and Pauline Weirich 205th in 1.33.20.

The Grafham Standard Triathlon at Huntingdon consists of a 1500m swim, 36km cycle and a 10km run where Jon Waight finished in 38th place out of 102 finishers and 1st Male Vet 60 in a fantastic 2.42.20.

At the same location in the Sprint Triathlon (swim 750m, cycle 17km, run 5km) Ryan Smith finished in 13th place out of 103 finishers and 3rd Male Vet 40 in a superb 1.09.58, a new Male Vet 40 Club Record. Alison Wilkinson was 83rd and 3rd Female Vet 55 in 1.38.40.

Some of HRTC triathletes were at the Swim Serpentine 2 Mile event where Liz Roberts finished in 1.09.06, Emma Luck 1.26.11, Dominic Emery 1.33.14 and Clare Carter 1.34.15.

At Harlow parkrun Donna Milton finished in 29th place out of 223 finishers in a PB time of 22.42.
