OPEN EVENT FOR PROSPECTIVE YEAR 7 STUDENTS AND FAMILIES FOR SEPTEMBER 2024

Saturday 14th October 2023, 12pm – 2pm

THEY are delighted to confirm that Sir Frederick Gibberd College will be taking new admissions into year 7, as expected, in September 2024, and will therefore be hosting a briefing event for prospective students and parents.

A spokesperson said: “The briefing will be led by Headteacher Dee Conlon, and members of the senior leadership team. There will be an opportunity to hear about our values here at Sir Frederick Gibberd College and our approach to the curriculum, guided by our mission to transform lives through education.

As you will have heard, our school is currently in temporary accommodation while the Department for Education decides how to manage remediation works for our buildings. These temporary facilities are currently in the process of being upgraded to high-spec structures, which is what the year 7 intake in 2024 will be educated in. It is for this reason that we are hosting the information event off-site this year.

“The current structures on site were put up in an amazing three weeks and pupils and staff are working well, enjoying a full timetable face-to-face. We think this is a great testament to the spirit and ethos of the school.

“We look forward to seeing everyone on 14th October”.
