Charity: Dan steps out as he begins preparation for London Marathon
Charity / Fri 22nd Sep 2023 at 08:27am
A HARLOW man has begun his training for the London Marathon in 2024 by undertaking a September 30 mile step challenge.
Dan Long has run the London Marathon five times. He is determined to do the sixth for St Elizabeth’s Care Home in Much Hadham.
Dan has worked there for 22 years and is so passionate about promoting the home.
Mr Long suffered from epileptic seizures but has told YH that since a vital operation in October 1993, has not had a seizure since.
But during September, Dan has been walking for a Prostate Cancer charity.
Like a number of other London Marathon runners from Harlow, we will be dropping in on Dan between now and the big day in April.
His London Marathon page is below.
Good luck to both Dan and Dans team. Hope he is successful
