Crime / Fri 22nd Sep 2023 at 04:29pm

FOLLOWING information received, a dispersal order that has been put in place for Harlow town has been extended to cover junction 7A of M11.

It will be in force in Harlow this Saturday night and Sunday morning ahead of a planned car cruising event.

This order will remain in place between 6pm Saturday 23 September and 6am Sunday 24 September.

Designed to stop the event before it begins, tackle the associated anti-social behaviour and prevent crime and disorder, the order covers the whole of Harlow and is extended to cover junction 7A of M11.

Acting Inspector Matt Hughes said: “We use these orders in a considered and proportionate way, to make sure they are targeting anti-social behaviour and allowing people to go about their daily lives.

“We will not tolerate dangerous driving in any part of Harlow, and our officers will be out in the community on Saturday evening to make sure drivers are behaving safely and responsibly.”

Give these brave police officers having to deal with the antisocial criminals the power to crush these cars on the spot with the driver having to pay the transportation and destruction fee along with a percentage of however much it costs to enforce one of these vital dispersal orders. Thank you Essex Police for keeping our roads safe.

I hope this order won't have any impact on the very well organised and self policed static event at North Weald tomorrow.

Harlow police don't care about antisocial driving, I've been reporting this for years and IF they show up which is hardly ever, they do nothing. Useless
