Emotional scenes as Harlow bids farewell to Knife Angel

A CLOSING ceremony was held to mark the end of the Knife Angel events in Harlow.
The ceremony was hosted by the chair of Harlow Council, Andrew Johnson.
The keynote speech was made by the woman who was key to bringing the Knife Angel to Harlow, Mel Hopwood.
Mel has pledged that the is just a springboard to her continuing to highlight the horrors of knife crime in Harlow and beyond.
Other speakers included the leader of Harlow Council, Cllr Dan Swords, the leader of Harlow Labour, Cllr Chris Vince, Chief Superintendent Jenny Barnett.
There was also music by Mercy Collective and Bex.
