Athletics: Another busy week for Harlow Running Club

HARLOW Running and Tri Club member Tim Wood was one of 16,000 runners to complete the Amsterdam Marathon at the weekend, finishing in a time of 3hrs 32min 17sec.
Meanwhile, at the Great Eastern Run Half Marathon at Peterborough Grant Reuken finished in 602nd place out of 2792 finishers in 1.39.31, in his debut at the distance.
At the Victoria Park Half Marathon Sam Spurgeon finished in 241st place out of 819 finishers in 1.46.20 and Bobbie Muschamp was 765th in 2.29.59, both in their debut at the distance.
The Chelmsford Half Marathon saw Angela Mariconda finish in 627th place out of 780 finishers in a 2.18.45, a PB by 35min, and Yasmin Gregory was 777th in 3.39.36.
At the Great South Run 10 mile race Dan Winter finished in a PB time of 1.25.31 and Tracy Greenall in 1.36.46.
The Essex Cross Country League started on Saturday over a 5 mile course at One Tree Hill, Nr Corringham, where Rob Lowe finished in 50th place out of 257 finishers in 31.03, Colin Baker was 102nd in 33.42 and Luke Fargeot 137th in 35.22.
There were parkrun PBs from Michael Richards at Harlow parkrun, finishing in 23rd place out of 243 finishers in 23.19 and from Sue Reilly at Malahide parkrun, Ireland, finishing in 217th place out of 341 finishers in 29.22.
At the London Aquathlon (Olympic Park) Sprint Distance (400m Swim, 5km Run) Jamie Olsen Ferreira finished in 76th place out of 280 finishers in 32.40, Emma Luck was 118th in 35.21, this included a 5k PB time of 24.51 and Peter Berry 255th in 49.00.
The results for the Essex Road Racing Grand Prix were finalised this week and both Joanne Mills and Colin Moody were runners up in their respective 70+ categories and thus won Silver Medals. The best 5 performances over 7 races, varying in distance form 5k to marathon counted towards the final score.
