ON MONDAY, police officers from Town Centre Team and Community Policing team were out in Harlow Town Centre undertaking hi-vis patrols and using knife arches for our #OpSceptre week.
A spokesperson said: “We will continue activities throughout the week working with partner agencies to educate and tackle knife crime”.
The knife arch pictured is by the Terminus Street car park between Harlow College and the town centre.
We now have knife arches. Oh dear. Good luck everyone. #SoProud
Oh my word I take it these will detect & deter if anyone is carrying knifes. Do you really think for one minute if they are they will walk through the Arch!!! What ever next...one arch two policeman, wow kids & young adolescence are obviously brighter than the force are right now....hope you have these arches & two police officers all over every entrance of every corner, turn & entrance's in Harlow!!!!! REALLY. Knifes are obviously still being able to obtain whether that be on line in the shops or even from their own houses in which they live. I really can't understand the way of life the way things are right now....there is no where you can go & feel safe anymore, what a cruel mixed up world we live in & it just seems to get worse everyday with something or other.
I expect people will be invited to pass through, a bit suspicious if they refuse. Country's gone to pot.
Pot being the word in more ways than one!
I’ve seen it all now .. let’s just advertise where the Arches are ..🤦♀️🤦♀️
Knife crime is everywhere, it’s a trend . Plough the money into educating the kids of the consequences and curfews at night . Stronger penalties, national service and boot camps .Problem solved.
