Crime / Tue 5th Dec 2023 at 06:44am

A MEMORIAL tree has been in the Town Park’s Specimen Garden as a legacy to the Knife Angel’s visit to Harlow in September.

The planting took place on Friday 1 December and was attended by the chair of the council, Andrew Johnson the leader of the council, Dan Swords, and the opposition leader, Chris Vince.

Members of the council’s Community Safety and Playhouse teams also attended, as did Mel Hopwood from The Tommy Jones Project, who played an integral part in bringing the Knife Angel to the town.

In addition to the tree, a memorial plaque is going to be installed at the site, giving people a place for quiet contemplation and a chance to remember in peace.

Amazing how Robert Halfon is never involved, not a priority for him obviously. Well done Chris Vince
