OFFICERS attending reports of vehicle break-ins in Harlow made two arrests.

A police spokesperson said: “We received a call shortly after 1.50am on Monday 11 December reporting an ongoing theft in Fullers Mead, Harlow.

“It was reported two people wearing balaclavas had gained access to a car, taking items from inside.

“Our officers were on the scene, establishing suspects had left the area on foot and obtaining a description of them.

“Two arrests were made, thanks to the quick work of Police Dog Trigger in tracking persons of interest from the scene.

“Two bags of items, believed to be stolen goods, were also recovered”.

Superintendent Philip Stinger, of our Operational Policing Team, said: “This was fast work, identifying two suspects and responding to reports of forced entry to cars in the Harlow area.

“We know there is an added concern during the festive season around theft and burglary.

“I would continue to urge the community to follow advice in keeping property secure and reporting any suspicious activity to us immediately.

“Your reports to us mean we can act swiftly to keep you and your property safe.”
