Police issue appeal over “suspicious activity” at Oakwood Pond

ESSEX Police has issued an appeal over “suspicious activity” at Oakwood Pond in Harlow.

A spokesperson said: “We are continuing to appeal for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a serious assault in Harlow.

We were called to Fold Croft, at around 8pm on Wednesday 24 January, following reports a man was being treated by ambulance workers for stab wounds.

Following further investigative work, we established a scene around the area of Oakwood Pond, off Fourth Avenue, and we are continuing to maintain a presence as enquiries continue.

Thankfully, the victim is in a stable condition in hospital.

As part of our enquiries, we need anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the Oakwood Pond area on Wednesday 24 January to come forward to assist us.

Anyone with information, or any footage which could assist our enquiries, should get in touch with us.
