THE Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of Salim Akbar as our lead coach for senior cricket for the 2024 season.

Salim has a history of both playing at a good level and has a wide experience of coaching with the Sharks Academy, and at Matching Green. He has helped Matching Green achieve numerous trophies over the last couple of years in their campaigns in the HEBL League.

Salim is looking forward to working alongside Tom Garner in the 1st XI’s push for promotion into the 1st XI Division Two of the Hamro Foundation League. Salim is also keen to be working alongside our other captains and members of the club to improve their games in their respective teams.
