Marathon training Runs

You can see by the number of long-distance events the club has been doing recently that some of these runs are in preparation for the London and Manchester marathons coming up next month. This year, the club has 30 London Marathon runners and has organised lengthy training runs on Sunday mornings whenever possible.

The most recent long run occurred on Sunday, March 24th, when we ran a 20-mile route from Harlow Town to Tottenham Hale along the river. We did get the train back, so don’t worry. It was a fantastic morning, with different members starting and completing at different times or locations that suited them

Ride London Training Rides

Harlow Running and Tri Club is more than just running; some members are taking part in the Ride London 100-mile race or preparing for the start of the triathlon season in May. Along with twice weekly coached swimming, club training cycle rides begin this Easter weekend and will run until May to help members gain the required fitness, endurance, and confidence to compete in these events.

Member of the Month – February

Ellie Wiseman was our member of the month for February, as voted by our members. Ellie has only been with the club since last year and received the February award for her amazing amount of effort and devotion to running while encouraging and motivating others with her enthusiasm. She set some amazing parkrun and distance PBs in February and is one of our runners competing in the Manchester Marathon in April.
