General / Mon 15th Apr 2024 at 03:25pm

TRAINS are not running through Harlow, Harlow Mill, Sawbridgeworth, Bishop’s Stortford, and Stansted this afternoon (Mon) due to a fallen tree on the overhead electric wires near Roydon.

Train operator Greater Anglia says services through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised, and major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Services on the following routes will be unable to run beyond Broxbourne until repairs have been made – Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport; Liverpool Street and Cambridge/Cambridge North; Stratford and Bishop’s Stortford; Liverpool Street and Hertford East.

A statement from Greater Anglia at 2pm said Network Rail engineers were mobilising a team to attend to the repairs.
