Football / Tue 7th May 2024 at 08:51am

HARLOW Town have finished the season with silverware after winning the Thurlow Nunn League Challenge Cup with a 1-0 victory against Downham Town.

After being forced to pull out of the league in 2023, there was a time when people doubted whether the Hawks would fly again.

But they have soared to new heights.

What has also been hugely significant is the crowds that have flocked to the Pardus Wealth Arena.

And despite this game being in Diss, hundreds flocked from Harlow to see the team triumph.

Substitute Ishaq Ameen scored the winner in the 87th minute.

The celebrations illustrate what this means to everyone at the club.

The feel good factor has returned at Harlow Town.

Now everyone can’t wait for the new season to begin where the fight for promotion begins.

A full report will follow.

That's one more trophy than Spurs have won in the last 15 year!!! Well done guys. A local football team is an important part of a town, look at the reaction to Ipswich's promotion to the premier league

This should have been headline news this morning, instead with have to read about the negatives happening in Harlow, the publishers should hang there heads in shame. First trophy for nearly 2 decades and an achievement that the Town can proud about but you continue to publish doom. COYH

Support your local football club. Get down to the barrows farm next season. If we could get 2500 each home game we could achieve greatness... HTFE
