INNOVATORS were here, there and everyWARE last weekend, competing in events showing off their hard work and dedication.

With Andrew Kitson attending yet another triathlon, tapering down ready for his Iron Man event in a couple of weeks. Andrew was in St Neots for the Standard Triathlon. The 1500m swim was in the beautiful river Ouse, the 47km bike ride was around some of the most senic roads in St Neots, and the 10k was 2 laps of Riverside Park, finishing in a great time of 2:33:53.

Pat O’Flaherty was up in the Peak District taking on the breath taking views in a 10mile hike, starting and finishing in Bakewell, walking through the National Park, past Chatsworth House, and over rolling hills, testing limits and completing it in 4:55:57! Fantastic!

Finally more locally, in Ware a handful of Innovators took part in the Ware Festival of Running, 10mile or 10k races. Starting at Chauncy School Ghazi Jalil, Karl Burnett, Alan Shead, Terasa Holden amd Jess Keane headed out on the 2 lap course which was a mixture of paths, trails and along the river.

Kelly Burgess, Zita Szaszko , Liz Roberts and Susan Mould took the same route, but just 1 lap for the 10k. Everyone finished in brilliant times and really enjoyed the well organised event and course.
