ON Saturday 14^th September, Hobbycraft Harlow will be celebrating its 15^th birthday by offering a FREE goody bag to the first 100 customers. On the same day, colleagues will be hiding a golden ticket somewhere in the branch, rewarding one lucky customer with a Hobbycraft gift card worth £50.

Since first opening its doors to the community in September 2009, the Hobbycraft store based at The Queensgate Centre has become a thriving communal hub for local crafters, and now offers thousands of craft tools and accessories for customers to browse.

In addition to its wide product range, the store also boasts a dedicated digital crafting space and haberdashery area allowing customers to test drive products before purchasing, as well as regular workshop sessions hosted by a store colleague designed to give everyone the opportunity to master a new craft or refine a long-time favourite, with prices starting from £5 and available to book online.

Throughout the course of the last 15 years, colleagues and customers at Hobbycraft Harlow have been raising money for Haven House Children’s Hospice, as part of the retailer’s ongoing partnership with Together for Short Lives. The store has hosted monthly fundraisers including bake sales, raffles and fancy-dress days to help raise money for the hospice, accumulating to over £23,000 since opening.

Store Manager, Tracy, comments: “Reaching 15 years of this beloved store is a huge achievement, and a testament to the love and importance of craft within the local community. Our customers are our number one priority, and we plan to continue helping them build their passion for craft and enhance their creativity, whether that be in-store or outside of it. We can’t wait to celebrate the store’s 15th birthday this Saturday.”

The store, which will open at 9am on Saturday, will be providing tickets to the first 100 customers upon entry, who can use it to claim a free goody bag at check out. Customers browsing the wide collection of crafts can also keep an eye out for a golden ticket which will be hidden within the store range by Tracy prior to opening, with the lucky winner receiving a £50 gift card to use in-store or online.
