LIVEWIRE were delighted this week to receive a wonderful donation from local businessman and musician Dan Snowden. A brand new bass guitar and amplifier costing over £600 from local music outlet GigGear.
Creative Director Sam Ashford said: “On behalf of all the young people, trustees, volunteers and group leaders at Livewire, we would like to say a massive thank you! We are deeply humbled and greatly appreciative of Dan’s donation.

We currently have funding to deliver sessions through The National Lottery for the next five years! However, any equipment we have is received through fundraisers with parents or donations of old personal musical equipment.
‘This donation is so important to us, it’s wonderful to have something brand new to play with, thank you Dan!”
Dan Snowden of Salvus Total Solutions (and previously of legendary Old Harlow band ‘The Feelmores’) said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to donate these instruments and play a part in such a worthy cause. Sam and his team are an asset to the community and instil a lot of happiness in many people’s lives. Keep up the good work!”
If you would like to support Livewire with donations of musical equipment, new or old, or if you would like to sign up a young person to Livewire’s FREE weekly sessions then please contact Sam Ashford at [email protected].
Now I live in Harlow and didn't know Livewire existed. Have given two guitars to charity shop - not sure whether they would gave been of any use, but maybe for a beginner. Keep up the good work you are doing.
