MOTORISTS in their 70s have been offered free driving courses as safety experts work to reduce accidents reports the BBC.
The scheme – set up by the Safer Essex Roads Partnership – aims to give older road users more confidence.
It would not act as a driving test or lead to any participant having their licence taken away, said the partnership.

Potentially there are more accidents caused by those under 70 than those over 70 .
I agree Colin. I don't know why ALL drivers don't have an assessment every 10 years when renewing their photo I'd licences. Maybe a quick 15 minute spin in a car and 10 minutes on relatively easy highway code questions. Most of the taxicab and amazon drivers would fail.
Saying that they wouldn't go very far in Harlow in 15 minutes at present
It’s not the older drivers you need to worry about. Drivers in Harlow don’t like using indicators or mirrors and if you’re not going fast enough they drive so close you’d think they were on the back seat
