League tables to reveal failing NHS trusts

FAILING hospitals will be revealed in league tables and NHS managers sacked if they do not turn things around, the health secretary will tell health leaders at a conference in Liverpool repots the BBC.

Wes Streeting is promising a “no-holds-barred, sweeping review” of NHS performance in England.
Hospitals can expect to be ranked on indicators such as care delivery and finances, so patients can see whether they are receiving a good service.

I think it is a good idea. Myself and my family have had many traumatic times concerning hospital treatment/care, I never understand how the NHS gets such great compliments
Geraldine - Because it has become a national religion, we are a health system with a country attached. In reality the NHS is appalling and more than likely to cause you harm or kill you especially if you are old. It is uncaring about its patients caring only about itself the NHS organisation. There are many better models to adopt used across the world, the French system is very good. But then they do work their medical staff a lot harder ;)
Productivity and Customer Service: two areas where investment and better trained managers would help make the NHS improve. Better IT systems that are linked nationally would aid productivity. I wonder how much all the contractual supervision, operations not delivered, staff turnover and inaccurate invoicing involved in the NHS using private providers costs taxpayers?
