Essex Police issue appeal after hare coursing arrest on M11

ESSEX Police want to hear from anyone that has information about an incident of suspected hare coursing in the Uttlesford district.
Officers arrested a 22-year-old man from Dover on suspicion of hare coursing on Sunday 24 November.

The man was arrested at Birchanger Green services at junction 8 of the M11, opposite Stansted Airport, after they received reports of hare coursing at a farm in Saffron Walden at about 8.15am.
A spokesperson said: “Working together, our Rural Engagement Team and the Cambridgeshire Police’s Rural Crime Action Team attended the farm where suspects left the scene. A grey Subaru Forester was seen leaving the scene as well.
We received several reports of a suspect on foot on the M11, causing disruption to motorists before getting into the back of a grey Ford Transit van and travelling to Birchanger Green services.
The man officers arrested at the services was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and an offence under the Road Traffic Act. He has been released on police bail.

A man trying to get into cars travelling on the M11 southbound close to Birchanger Green services between 8.15am and 9.30am
A man in his 20s wearing a black top, black trousers, green coat and muddy boots, with tattoos on his neck and hands, at Birchanger Green services between 8.15am and 9.30am. He may also have had a dark-coloured lurcher dog.
