Storm Darragh: Christmas Lights switch on in The Stow cancelled

News / Fri 6th Dec 2024 at 05:26pm

UNFORTUNATELY, tomorrow’s (7 December) Christmas Light Switch-On event in The Stow has been cancelled due to weather warnings.

Harlow Council has made the difficult decision to cancel the event, in line with the cancellation of other outdoor events in the area.

The Christmas Tree will still be there for the community to enjoy and the lights will go on. The council would like to thank LiveWire who were due to perform and all those involved in the Safe To Go Stow project.

The Tommy Jones Project Christmas Extravaganza is still going ahead at Moot House from 12noon to 5pm.

The Safe To Go Stow community hub is open Monday to Friday

LOL oh dear a bit of rain and wind and typical response is to stop the entire country. How I managed to walk to the shops and back is beyond me. Embarrassing.
