HARLOW Town responded to their goalless draw on Boxing Day with an emphatic away win at Basildon Town.

Goals by Gavin Cockman (30 and 57), Fabion Simms (75), Jordan Burnett (75) and Fred Agyemang (82) secured all three points for the Hawks.

The result leaves Harlow Town top of the league and ten points clear of rivals Hackney Wick.

Hackney have two games in hand.

Harlow have thirteen games left.

They return to league action on Saturday at home to Brimsdown FC.
