British Kebab Awards: Has one of your local kebab shops made the semi-final?

THE semi-finalists of the British Kebab Awards are announced today – but has your favourite local kebab restaurant made the cut?
Hertfordshire and the London Borough of Barnet lead the competition with 20 nominations each.
Kent has the third most semi-finalists with 18, while East Sussex and Essex both have 15. The rest of the top ten is made up of the City of Westminster, Greater Manchester, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, County Antrim, Glasgow, Camden and Enfield.

The awards ceremony honours Britain’s best kebab chefs, restaurants and takeaways, with the winners being unveiled on 26 February 2025 at a glittering ceremony at the prestigious Park Plaza Westminster Hotel in London.
Best Kebab and Pizza House in Arbroath, Angus, is the most northerly nominee, while Mavi Turkish Restaurant in Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland is possibly the most remote semi-finalist. The Welsh city of Wrexham has eight semi-finalists – an impressive achievement for its size.
Kebab fans can vote for their favourite restaurants in the following national categories: Best Delivery, Best Greek Restaurant and/or Takeaway, Best Kosher Shawarma Restaurant and/or Takeaway, Best Lebanese Restaurant and/or Takeaway, Best Value Restaurant, Best Vegan Kebab (Restaurant or Takeaway), Chef of the Year, Customer Satisfaction, Fine Dining Restaurant, Kebab Van of the Year, Supplier and Manufacturer Award.
There are also several regional categories, including: Best Newcomer Restaurant in London/Outside London, Best Takeaway in London, Best Takeaway Regional, Best Kebab House in Northern Ireland, Best Kebab House in Scotland, Best Kebab House in Wales, Best Kebab Restaurant in North and West London, Best Kebab Restaurant in South and East London, and Best Kebab Restaurant Regional.
