YOU are invited to join the Harlow Sculpture Marathon, a fantastic virtual walking challenge in partnership with Harlow Council and Active Essex. This exciting initiative combines fitness, fun, and the arts, perfect for individuals and families alike.

Starting on 23 January, participants will virtually explore a marathon of Harlow’s iconic sculptures before continuing on to Athens—the birthplace of the original marathon.

Here’s how it works:

• Sign up for free as an individual or a team (up to 6 people) at sculpturemarathon.bigteamchallenge.com.
• Download the Big Team Challenge app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Sync your device or manually log your activity to track your progress along the route.
• Receive milestone updates, fun facts about the sculptures, and compete for family-friendly prizes!

You can also walk the Harlow section in person—a scenic 19-mile route showcasing our incredible sculpture collection. This segment can be completed in approximately 7 hours, allowing plenty of time to appreciate Harlow’s rich culture and artistry.
