Chair of Harlow Council’s Live Lounge: Remedy end the night with barnstorming performance!

Entertainment / Sun 9th Feb 2025 at 11:21am

ON FRIDAY night, the chair of Harlow Council, cllr Andrew Johnson hosted his second Live Lounge.

The event was held at the Harlow Playhouse.

It was a fantastic event held up in Theatre 2.

This special event was in support of two deserving charities: Harlow Steel Band and Rainbow Dementia Friendly Services.

There were fifteen acts there.

We enjoyed it so much that we feel that each act should have their own news item.

The final act of the night was Remedy. This band was something special. They had stage presence, style, confidence and they were very very good.

Here is twenty five glorious minutes of Remedy.

Thank you to Harlow Council’s Emma Crouch for organising an outstanding event.

Why is a council employee organising this ? Why are people paying council taxes to pay for someone to organise a event which is not legally mandated by law. It might be for a good cause but it is not correct for someone to be paid by tax payers funds to fund this.

Excellent stuff to give local talent a platform as its so difficult these days for chances especially for people starting out. Only fun sponges would complain about this concept.

He's is not a council employee, he is a elected councillor and unpaid.
