A SUCCESSFUL team from Hare Street school claimed gold at the inaugural Harlow primary schools Triathlon last week.
The event, the first of its kind, was held at Stewards Academy and involved a 200m pool swim followed by a cycle and finishing with the customary run.

Schools from across the town took part including Tany’s Dell, Church Langley, St. James and Holy Cross to name a few.
The children competed in teams and their total times were collectively added together to crown the first ever champions.
The team at Hare Street claimed gold beating the seven other schools that took part. The total team time of 80 minutes (across the sixathletes) was enough to claim team honours.
Also, to add to the team win there were significant individual honours with a joint silver place finish by Sherri and Martin with Olivia in bronze medal position overall. The Gold winner being Zach from Church Langley school.
