Not to worry it will not happen when the council starts it's trial, sorry but no sympathy whatsoever the things are a liability.
I hope the e scooter got confiscated if it was not on private land. They are dangerous the way they speed all over the place
Well, if the police did their job properly no-one would be riding these things. And to think they want to bring in a scooter trial. At least this time round it wasn't someone else who got injured. The speeds they ride these things at is ridiculous and often on the pavements. They all need to be seized and destroyed
Reeee! I hate e-scooters because the Daily Mail told me to!
Sure this will be the start of many more to come, once Harlow Council start the idiotic trial they decided upon!!!
Norm - just ride a push bike and get some exercise, scooters are for children.
Bet he was where only cars should be
Ted they shouldn't have been on it anywhere.
One passed me in the middle of the road,I like many others pay car tax and insurance Why do they get away with it
Although you can have sympathy with the rider being injured it wouldn't have happened if they hadn't been using an e scooter illegally. In Potter Street 2 days ago two young girls on one e scooter riding in the middle of the main road then continuing along Hillside into Potter Field blocking the passage of the cars following them an accident in waiting
No sympathy at all for the rider on the e.scooter,as others have said they should not even be on the road or as I have seen on numerous occasions the paths, they e en get the arse ache when you refuse to move when they come up behind and expect people to move out the way.Sheer lunacy the council giving the green light to trial them, especially when there are so many illegal scooters around and no action seems to be taken as they even ride at speed through the town centre at speed narrowly missing pedestrians
I still can’t understand why one councillor fought for the hired e-scooters to come to Harlow, only recently these were banned by Basildon as a risk to road safety. I just really hope that when these are introduced, there will be no blood on the council as there currently is on the police for turning a blind eye
