Crime / Sun 18th May 2025 at 03:56pm

A MAN has died following a collision near Stansted Airport.

We were called to reports of a collision near to the Esso service station on Start Hill at 2.30am today (Sunday 18 May) where a silver Renault Megane had left the road.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended the scene but despite everyone’s best efforts, sadly, the man, who we believe is a Polish national British citizen in his 60s, died a short time later.

The road was closed while we responded to the incident but re-opened shortly before 8am.
