Update: Statement from Essex Police

We have suspended our search for 32-year-old William Lonsdale, following the discovery of a body.

 Our officers are supporting William’s family at this difficult time.

 We would like to thank everyone who supported our officers and shared our appeal.

 We are not treating William’s death as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

CAN you help find 32-year-old William Lonsdale?

A police spokesperson said: “He’s gone missing and we want to make sure he’s safe as soon as possible.

He was last seen at about 11pm in the area of The Meadows in Sawbridgeworth on Saturday 14 June.

He has is about 6ft tall, of medium build, with shoulder-length hair and large beard, and was last seen wearing a grey overcoat.

“If you have seen him or have any information that will help us locate William, please contact us by calling 999, quoting incident 1460 of Saturday 14 June”.
